Shocking Levels of service
I am struggling since 10th of May 2021 to Fica verified my account I send so many documents and called weekly but every time it is the same story the documents is in the que for verification. Spoke to them 3 times today and every time each one have a different story. The last person said she see all the documents is there it just needs to be updated. I want to sell my shares but I cant do it if the Fica verification is not done. And this is taking almost a 2 weeks now. This is the worst service

18 May 2021, 09:12We understand. Your call was escalated shortly before 4pm and we want the agent to pull up your details to understand your account and make sure they have information at hand when they talk to you, as well as understand what the underlying issue causing the delay was - speaking to the necessary people to get a view of the situation.
Once they have this, they will contact you.
Thank you for your patience

Why can't your office share the load with other stuff members. Why you're employee telling us your company problems instead of helping us. This is unprofessional

21 May 2021, 15:34Dear Mulalo
On the JSE, the payment of shares sold doesn't occur on the transaction date and varies depending on the type of security (like a share, or a bond, etc.).
South Africa works on a settlement cycle of T+3 for shares/equities listed on the JSE. While it gets quite technical, it's what time it takes for the deeds-office equivalent of shares (called Strate, which is the Central Securities Depository) and the JSE to operate on for the equity market.
Let's break this technical information down a bit further, if you don't mind the explanation: Whenever someone buys or sells a share, there are two important dates to understand: the transaction date and the settlement date. 'T' is the transaction date. The abbreviation T+3 refer to the settlement dates.
Wednesday was your transaction date - the date on which the actual trade occurs.
The settlement date for South African shares traded on the exchange is on a 3 business day cycle, so it takes three business days after the transaction date for something called SFIDvP to happen. In simple terms, this is when the delivery and payment of those shares happen at the same time, it cannot be reversed, and ownership is officially transferred out of your name.
We hope this clarifies your question.
