Sanlam has requested that shareholders come forward to update their records with the transfer secretary Computershare to claim unpaid dividends or to sell their shares they are entitled to.
A 90 day window period has been given. Should the shareholders fail to respond the shares will be sold. It also states that if a person believes that they have claim to the share in the Sanlam account held on behalf of an untraceable shareholder they should contact Computershare
So can Sanlam please explain why nobody will assist. What happens if someone has a joint investment with a partner you dated years ago. After sending Sanlam your documents to Fica your side. And personally tracking down the other person (which details you have provided to Computershare agents. This includes the persons telephone number and Email address) The other shareholder wants nothing to do with this policy and has ignored emails we have sent requesting Fica documents to claim dividends or authorization to sell the shares. This womans husband has called and threatened physical violence if we every contact his wife again.
After countless calls and call back requests and Emails and call back emails to Computershare. We can not get assistance and have been told nothing can be done. Why cant a Computershare agent call the other person and get clarification.
So is Computershare saying they are going to sell the shares and one investor must loose his portion of the shares. We have done everything possible to get this issue resolved. How do we get help.
