RECEIPT OF DIVIDENDS/REDEMPTION OF SHARES

Contact with Computershare hs been made and documentation submitted including Authority letter, current bank statement with proof od f Residence, IRP 5 with full name, ID ,res. adress and Tax no, SA ID copy. All these documents bank stamped and SAPS certified. On enquiry informed that no res.adress submitted? once explained that the IRP and Bank statement covered this, informed that I am registered with only my first name and surname and I actually have three names. A document would need to be submitted to change my name...how can I with 3 names (same ID no,etc etc) change the details of an "alternative person(shareholder)" i.e. my name sans middle name?? In surrenderod this bizaar situation told on same tel.line that now everone has gone and that no-one can help me and/or send this documentation to me and that I must call again. next week. Messages have been left with Ms Marie Steyn to call me with no avail, and I have been refused access to any mail adress to communicate (Vanessa-reception). Computershare are not compliant with FAIS in that they are prety much uncontactable and/or have no accessible complaints policy. What now?

New day, new excuses. Given undertaking from Ms Marie Steyn that she will do the nessesary change to my alias. Back to SAPS to commission document that I was unable to obtain Friday 28th ( all left the building...) and sent to Ms Steyn. No responce however now received a rejection notice from Ficaverify with the same explanation and another Rectification Document. How many times must I change my name?? Issue now with their Action Line, yet another complaint deadend. At what stage does a Manager's Manager get involved, be accountable and take respoinsibility to sort out their client service, or rather, lack thereof.

In terms of the Companies Act and Strate requirements we are required to record the full name of a shareholder in the company register. When you sent documentation for FICA verification, we noted that the name on the register is not your full name. We were therefore not able to FICA verify your account which is why you received the rejection message.

We are legally bound to follow a rectification procedure before we can amend the register. This procedure is designed to guard the interests of shareholders and protect them from *****. The process was instituted immediately, but it does take some time. We have asked Sanlam Ltd, the Issuer, to expedite the process and as soon as we receive authorisation, the register will be amended and your account will be FICA verified.

Kind regards

Computershare

By now the content of your responce is known...however, according to Sanlam this morning I (the Shareholder) is required to send their Certified copy of ID directly to Sanlam. Sanlam will not accept a copy of this document from Computershare (their Administrators). This is the first time I have been given this information , which come directly from Sanlam, prior to today been told that Computershare is attending to this matter., having received a full set of all the documentation certified etc.

Furthermore, the process to which you refer, was NOT instituted immediately, as it was only on MY enquiry (one week after Computershares receipt of documents) did Mr Mswali inform me that I had not provided proof of adress in spite of a certified bank statement and IRP 5 document indicating same. Both legitimate FICA 'proof of residence' acceptable documentation. Only then was I informed of my name issue at which time in the conversation (now with his superior/ Vanessa Computershare receptionist) that everyone had left the building. The only reason why the process 'does take some time' is that their is clearly a misunderstanding between Sanlam and Computershare and that Computershare's staff were more interested in leaving the building than attending to the Sanlam Shareholder and/or giving the correct procedure. What does 'take some time..' mean, 1 week, 2,3...1 year?

Terminating the telephonic call with a customer is also not good customer PR. The Hello Peter responce from Computershare conveniently makes no reference to any of these incidents.

As of earlier today, I am informed that Sanlam have taken over this issue and will now instruct Computershare directly themselves with further instructions. Good luck.....its Friday again! otherwise
