Poor Customer Service for nearly two years!!!

Over the past 2 years I have been painstakingly trying to transfer SASOL shares from my late father to my mother. I contacted the Computershare Call Centre to get a view of the forms required to complete this process, and in May 2017 I completed the stack of documents required and posted it off to them. I followed up in September 2017 but they could not provide me with feedback because I am not the executor. They had all the updated details which I had posted them, which was a positive sign that they did get all the documents that I had posted. In this period my mom has only received feedback that her address and banking details have been updated, but nothing indicating that the shares have been transferred. The executor of my dad’s estate followed up with the Computershare Call Centre regarding the status of the transfer of the shares, and the agent indicated that they received no such instruction. So, in April 2018, I resubmitted the same stack of documents again. Unfortunately this time we heard nothing again, and quite frankly I had just given up. The value of the shares is not worth all this effort – however, on 23rd November 2018 an agent called to follow up on the transfer of the shares. I raised my frustration with her but was grateful that this will hopefully be resolved soon. Over the past few weeks I have been in contact with Pravina Vala and she has greatly tried to assist to resolve this matter. During this time I also had to update some of the forms which was not completed correctly or was not signed by the executor or my mom. My frustration now is that after all this, Computershare now requires one of the documents pages to be completed – it was originally signed by the correct person, however the Witness and Date & Place fields was incomplete. The Custodial Department now require the original page before they can complete this transaction!! Whilst I understand that due process and governance requires certain documents to be completed – this is just becoming an absolute joke. Really poor and unprofessional service from Computershare!!!

We do appreciate that the documentation required is complex and completing it can be challenging.  The process was delayed because one part of the contract had not been completed.  The final piece of information was received last week and the process of transferring the shares was then started.   As discussed in our telephone call this morning, we have expedited the process and the transfer of your shares will be completed within the next few days.
