My name is Dumisani Nhlapo ( ********** 032) I have sent emails to ********** asking them to assist my Aunt Locia Nomthandazo Nhlapho ( ********** 409) to change her banking details so she can receive her Sasol Inzalo Dividends. I have sent an email on the 26th of September and a follow up mail on the first of October, today being the 18th of October 2018, it is so unfortunate that no one has rep**** to either of my mails.
The intent of my mail was to get someone from Sasol Inzalo – Computershare to call my Aunt, authenticate her and assist her in IsiZulu to change her banking details so her Sasol Inzalo dividends can go to the right account.
I ended up calling the Sasol Inzalo – Computershare helpline on the 28th of September the consultant which I spoke to told me they cannot call my Aunt to assist her in changing banking details due to the high call volumes they are attending to. She said on normal instances they would call and assist her but incoming call were their priority that day. I told her that my Aunt is illiterate and unemployed it will be difficult for her to call their help centre. The consultant then suggested that my Aunt should then come to their Rosebank offices for a change of banking details.
I sent money to my Aunt to travel all the way from the Eastrand to Rosebank only for her to be told that she cannot be assisted without obtaining a letter from the bank proving that she had an account. My Aunts account was closed more than 5 years are ago due to the lack of funds and inactivity. The bank couldn’t assist her, as she was informed that they only keep historical records for a period of five years.
She is now stuck in the middle not knowing what to do and the painful part is the fact that I’m the one who persuaded her into investing with Sasol Inzalo not thinking that it will be an issue for her to get her returns.
As we advised your aunt in our telephone conversation, the dividend was paid into her bank account in 2008 well before the bank account was closed.

Your aunt app**** to purchase Sasol Inzalo shares in 2008 but her application was received after the allocation of shares had been finalised. We apologise for stating that it was a dividend that was paid into her account in September 2008; it was in fact a refund for the amount she had paid to the Post Office for shares. The payment was made well before your aunt's bank account was closed.
Your aunt does not have Sasol Inzalo shares and therefore the dividend does not apply.
