Emails ignored and do not phone back as promised.

I am disappointed in Computershare and because of my frustration am resorting to a public site. I wanted to instruct CS to sell shares on the following day. I called three times and each time was unable to give the instruction for the next day for various reasons all of which to do with CS one of which being that their computer system was down. I wrote an email - no response. I chased it up and still no response in writing. I did speak to someone who said she would listen to the two other phone calls and call me back the next day but nobody has. I would have been happy selling at the price had the instruction gone through. Now share price is lower. The worst thing is for a company to ignore emails and/or say they will get back to the customer the next day but do not do so. That is poor customer service.

We apologise for the inconvenience you were caused by having to make three telephone calls to us to sell your shares. You called our Dividends Department on 19 April 2018 to enquire about selling shares and were advised that the banking details on the new dematerialised account, opened specifically to sell the shares, had not been confirmed. It is a Strate requirement that banking details are confirmed before a transaction is processed to ensure that the proceeds are paid into the correct bank account. We were able to confirm the banking details shortly after and called you repeatedly on the number you had provided but did not receive an answer. We were able to contact you the following day, 20 April, 2018, and your shares were sold at a higher price than would have been the case on 19 April 2018.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience you have been caused.

Kind regards

Computershare
