I contacted ComputerShare around mid-March 2019 to enquire about the process to sell some shares. I was sent an email detailing the information and documents required and then sent it on 18 March 2019. I received a request to forward an updated version of a SARS document which I did on 26 March. When enquiring about the status of the FICA verification process since then I was told every time that it was still in process. When enquiring again on 04 April I was told that there was no proof of any documentation received. By then I must have collectively already spend more than 100 minutes of airtime just “holding on” the line. I requested to be put through to senior management. After holding on again I was transferred to the Computershare complaints department and was immediately told to hold on again. I put the phone down after about 10 fruitless minutes of “just holding on”. I was then sent an email requesting to AGAIN submit a list of documents. I have multiple times requested to speak to a single person who can deal with my case. It seems that such a single person doesn’t exist at ComputerShare. I have AGAIN submitted the documents at requested on 09 April and hope to have the process to sell some shares concluded before Xmas 2019.
