My nightmare with Computer Land, Strand

What a nightmare!

I took a laptop to them to assess the screen not working correctly. After 3 days they sent me a message saying they had attempted to repair it but something had gone wrong and the laptop was now utterly useless and would no longer switch on. I did not give consent or permission for them to do work on my device and hadn't even received a quote for the cost of repairs but they went ahead anyway. They took no responsibility for making my laptop worthless and even wanted me to pay for the assessment or leave my laptop there as payment for it so they could strip it for spare parts. They knew full well that the spare parts my laptop could be used for were in the thousands or rands and they stood to make a lot of money from it. After trying to speak to them about fixing their mistakes I was laughed at and told they would do no such thing.
