Complex-City Building projects

Be Aware I would like to warn members of the community against dealing with Daryl Holman as a contractor for any work. We contracted with Daryl for the construction of a fence at our school in November 2023 following a request for contractors on this community page. Once he received our R60,000 deposit, we immediately started having issues, despite an agreed deadline for completion by 15 December. Claimed weather delays, shortages of supplies, suppliers not delivering, staff not returning from Zim are only a few of his excuses and likely lies. We are now left with a bunch of holes dug, less than a quarter of a fence and a list of excuses and lies since the beginning of December. Numerous requests and instructions to Daryl have gone unheard and it is clear now that he has no intention of completing the work or refunding our money. Once again, we have been conned by a contractor. Why is it that dealing with building contractors is like playing Russian Roulette? As a school, we are already stretched for funds and now to be taken advantage of by Daryl Holman is a major blow to us. Looking at the attached, it is clear that this is his modus operandi having done exactly the same to others.
