Community Motors - 1 in a Million

On Thursday 11th July I purchased R200 worth of fuel from Community Motors in Salt River, I had travelled approx. 5 km when my vehicle started “stuttering”, I pulled over immediately, switched the vehicle off and took out the receipt for the fuel I purchased and noticed that instead of Diesel the attendant had in fact put in petrol by mistake.

I called Community Motors and informed them of the mistake, by the time I called back to let them know that Discovery was sending a Tow truck, Ricardo had already left the Filling Station, he was pulling up behind me as I hung up from speaking to someone at the Station, he stayed with me until the tow truck arrived, assured me that he would sort out a vehicle for me if he was not able to get my vehicle back to me by the following morning, and took me home.

To my complete surprise I received a phone call from Ricardo at approx. 20h00 on Thursday evening to say that my vehicle had been drained, flushed, and filled with Diesel, that he had taken it for a test drive and that it was running perfectly!

If the world was filled with people like Ricardo, what a different place it would be, it does not happen often that one encounters someone with so much compassion and care and sense of responsibility!

Needless to say I will never fill my vehicle up at any other Service Station than Community Motors in Salt River - THANK YOU FOR BEING SO AMAZING!!
