Communicare - offering a home and pulling it away 2 days before moving
How does Communicare send a letter of offer to a pensioner, take her R2000 deposit, and keep changing the date of the signing of the contract, and then 2 days before she is due to move in, suddenly tell her they can't give her the flat, due to a DUI from years ago, when she doesn't have a car and doesn't drink anymore. TWO days before she is due to move out of her current home where she has given notice and prepared for the move!!! All her info was given, she did the police clearance, she was OFFERED the place with deposit paid, only for you to pull it out 2 days before the time because someone at Communicare couldn't read Disgusting to say the least!. Leaving a pensioner with nowhere to go, and crying all day long!

28 Jun 2022, 11:32TO ADD TO THIS: I, as her sister, had paid the deposit, bought her a fridge, microwave, kitchen counter and cupboard! All wasted money!!! I will be speaking to my attorney about this.

As you mentioned, you have a vetting procedure, and Communicare was in POSSESSION of all the documents since APRIL! So in APRIL somebody didn't do their job, and a place was offered to her. a DAY before moving, it is ripped away. She is NOW HOMELESS!!!!!!!!!!!! Because somebody did not do their job, you have left a pensioner, who is already struggling, without even her original home, as she gave notice and somebody has moved in. We are taking this to the ombudsman, and department of housing. The loss of money and dignity is shocking due to poor management. The basic human right is to have housing, and you ripped this away from her.
