Inferior quality by supposedly good quality brand ( Restonic )

I bought a bed at Comfy beds Germiston and a year later the bed started making funny noises as I make a turn/ any movement on it. I sent Comfy beds an email complaining about the noises, they then forwarded the communication to Restonic. Restonic wants a certain fee paid first before they can attend to the issue, is it sensible though? a year later? Like your Seally brands, Restonic supposedly makes good quality products. Is Restonic supplying Comfy beds with good quality products , I am not sure.
