Manufacturing fault becomes consumer's problem

On the 16th of March 2017 I purchased a lounge suit from Comfee Lounge Ruimsig. Firstly they took a week to deliver the suit, then when it was delivered one part of the suit did not completely attach to another part of it (being a full recliner suit, one part hooks into another). The problem it causes is that when the recliner is opened it leans over and sits at such an angle that it will topple. I then immediately complained and only a week later had a response. Their delivery/collection team came to have a look at the problem and I explained everything that had to be done to resolve the issue. Almost 2 months had past and only then they contacted me to deliver the "fixed" component - it was clearly not fixed and the same problem persisted. I then sent the broken component with the component it attaches to backto them to give them clarity on the problem. I also raised the issue with upper management who took another week to get back to me, only to tell me that ALL of their lounge suits of this type does that and they cannot fix it and that they have never had a complaint about it. I requested a FULL refund which they would not accept. When they delivered the couches this morning they tried to apply a temporary fix to it and JUST MADE IT WORSE. I am not satisfied with this, especially since I paid R24 585.00 for a lounge suit that is clearly defective. Their service and quality of their product has been an absolute let down and would not suggest buying anything from them...

A final great effort was made by the Comfee lounge team - they replaced the entire set after all the trouble I've gone through. Thanks for recognising the problem.
