Don't get caught by these guys, read the policy carefully.

Got given this policy with a new Nissan I bought and never thought anything of it until they sent me a letter saying the policy term was ending. Since I had picked up a scratch recently I thought I would get it looked at before the policy ended. Got told my limit was R3000 and found a panel beater who could fix it for R2700 odd. Went through the whole process of getting the required two or more quotes and then got told that they wouldn't pay because the scratch was longer than 15cm. My advise - if you get offered this policy with any new car, rather ask for them to take the cost of the policy off your purchase price and give it a skip. Or make sure you read their contract thoroughly. These policies are a joke to make you think you are getting such a good deal but they are wrapped up in such bull that I reckon they hardly ever make any payments. I feel like going to inspect my car now to see if I can find a scratch that's less than 15cm just to make them go through this all again.
