Bad service from CMC

I sent photos to this insurance company for the scratches on my bumper and they repudiated the claim because they say scratches are more than 15cm. I asked them to send someone to come and verify because I did that and the scratches even if there is multiple of them none of them were more than 15cm. Now they tell me I have to take a photo with a ruler next to the scratch. It souded t like because I paid for insurance upfront now they can do as they please because they have my money. I wish to advice anyone who thinks of getting a dent and scratches insurance to avoid CMC and not to pay anything upfront.
