Collab 2 Collections ***** and ******ion

Collab (Collab ^2) Collections as a collections company implement very suspicious practices. Very suspicious is the fact that I used PayMyFines site to check on any fines. One day later Collab sends me an email with demand of payment on one ticket that was on PayMyFines... the fine in question was released the 22/Jan/2020 with amount of R250. The fine was paid 17 Feb 2020,

Collab now tried to ****** payment of R400 on this ticket. I informed them that I will take legal action and report them for ***** and report them to the relevant bodies. if they did not respond and confirm that they will retract and desist . They have not responded. This is one part of the action from my part if they (Collab) did not respond

It is worrying how they managed to get access to privileged info (confidently a day after I accessed a system where this would be stored) and how they tried to leverage some info and devise a threat to illicit payment, these are serious violations.

Reviewer Update
Collabs representative Alistair Arendse made the effort to email and phone me to address the issue. I appreciate the fact that he offered an apology for any inconvenience and listened to the concerns and explained the mandate and policy app****. As most collections agencies have a bad reputation, one expect to be sidelined and being ignored.

I understand that Alistair is committed to providing customer satisfaction as was also stated by Alistair in the email and via our phone conversation.

Here the source of the problem is in fact the competency and records of third parties and the main creditor (being the Smithfield Municipality) which has now resulted in this unfortunate outcome.

Alistair has committed to chase this matter further with the client and the original debt agent which I feel Collabs and Alistair would want me to keep confidential? and to update the records on their side also.

Alistair has committed to answering all of the questions and have again in our telephonic conversation the assurance that they value and provide a service that is ethical and geared towards fair and open business.

I accept the apology from Collab and Alistair and understand that this is the unfortunate outcome of bad records and administration higher up in the chain. I appreciate Alistairs' approach and for being honest and willing to assist.

The attitude and effort in making contact and to reply to questions and to accept that there was some frustration and discomfort and to take measures to address the issues is positive and a merit to Alistair and indication of the integrity of Collab2 Collections.
