Such Contradiction

After purchasing a PROTEX Herbal soap I was interested in using the product because of it being the "Number 1 brand in Hygiene soaps". You see, the night before I went through a traumatic experience, I was nearly ****** in the JHB CBD and fortunately or unfortunately (In which ever light you view it) I was stabbed in the leg by my quad on my right thigh. Although nothing was taken, i was shaken up and required 5 stitches. The following Evening, I opened up a Protex herbal bar of soap and started washing my wounds only to find an unknown particle, which looked and felt like steel wool. This only after I app**** water and started rubbing the soap on my wound, the result being one of my 5 stitches ripped. I then contacted the Colgate-Palmolive consumer line, which only after a month got back to me with the utmost sarcastic reply. Contradicting themselves in the email response sent to myself. After not listening to the initial concern that I have stated that being "I had stitches and the object found in the soap tore the stitching out"

During the investigation and while waiting for the response I offered my courtesy to the company by not going to social media platforms even after the fact that continuously called following up and empty promises, is this a fair way to handle this situation? As gesture of goodwill we will consider reasonable reimbur*****t for out of pocket medical expenses resulting from the use of our product. Please can you send us copies documenting your expenses, include a doctors diagnosis relating the injury to the use of our product.
