Coleman Properties - A Dictatorship

<p>I am appauled at how they treat the tenants living in the complexes that they manage. I got a letter stating that one of my guests was speeding through the complex and that there was noise comping from my unit late at night and the security guards came and told me to turn it down which I never did. The result was a R500 fine for "visitors Behaviour" </p> <p> </p> <p>I emailed Gerhard on the 8th of July about the incident asking simply that I can get the registration number of the car that was allegedly speeding so that I can confront the guilty person (if it was even my guest) and he has completely ignored my request. I dont think i am being unreasonable to ask for the registration number. I spoke to the landlord and told him I am going to hold back on paying the fine until Gerhard gets back to me but he informed me that if I do that then Coleman Properties will just cut my power and add interest on the fine.</p> <p> </p> <p>The security of the complex works in this way:</p> <p>A guest enters and has to sign in and write which number they are visiting. When a visitor comes to my house, there is no way for me to know until they are in the complex and parked at my unit. This means that anybody can come to the complex and sign in using any number and it wont make a difference.</p> <p> </p> <p>The other thing is that if there is excessive noise in the unit, the guards come ask you to keep the noise down before taking any sort of official action. At no point during the night in question was there any security guard at my door to inform me that the talking was too loud.</p> <p> </p> <p>Anyway, Coleman properties doesnt seem to give a **** about tenants and my rights and they will force me to pay an unreasonable fine without the proper communication required, else they will just switch my power off.</p> <p> </p> <p>I must seek legal advice for this because I dont think they care at all about whats wrong and whats right.</p>
