WHAT? Too may take-away orders!!

After making a booking early the morning of 29/12/2016, asking for a specific table for a party of 7 for 19:30 (we have visitors from the UK) we arrived at 19:15 to be seated at another table right in the middle (not the one we asked for)! The menu's were dropped as we sat down, but after 10 minutes, my son got up to fetch water for the table. Still no-one came to get a drinks order. When the waiter arrived, we placed our meal order, because we were all starving. This order was placed before 20:00. At 21:05, my husband got up to speak to the manager, our food had not arrived and the tables around us had turned already - the people who sat down at the same time as us, had eaten and left and new customers arrived!!

Our food eventually arrived at the table at 21:20. My husband's pizza was cold and inedible, as was the pizza my daughter ordered. Must have been standing for an hour or more. Two of us had pastas, which were warmed up obviously (not freshly made) and two had salads, which looked as if they were also standing for a while. The only "freshly made" pizzas were the half/half pizza.

Needless to say, the waiter, Charlston, was just horribly inadequate and useless. His explanation (in broken English) about our food was: "There are many take-away orders tonight" WHAT!!!

Everyone at the tables around us were fed! Not once did he apologize OR did the extremely *********** manageress came to apologize, after my husband went to complain that we were still waiting for our food. She said that she would come to our table. WELL, no-one came.

We would have ordered coffee and deserts, we thought that the service would improve after complaining about the long wait, but guess what, no-one pitched to ask whether our food was in order and no-one came to ask whether we would like to order any deserts, etc! We had to get up to find this Charlston guy to get our bill!

I went to the manageress before we left. I told her of our utter dissapointment in the food, the service, and her not having the decency of showing up at our table to apologise or to ask whether the food was in order! (She must have known that the food was horrible, because it had been standing somewhere).

We love Col'Cacchios, but Stellenbosch's branch, even though I work in Stellenbosch, will NOT see me soon, neither my friends, because I am spreading the news.

I wrote an email of complaint to Col'Cacchios. It is a week now, and no reply. So, Hallo Peter! Here we are, spreading it even further!
