Total Rip-Off
Having been a Col’Cacchio patron for many years, today’s meal at Hyde Park really convinced me to give them a miss in future as they seem to have chosen the route of charging good money for very little in return. I have always enjoyed the plate of sliced cold meats and opted for the Carne Antipasto @ R 160 (the menu states “to share”, so one would expect a reasonable portion) When my plate arrived today, I was absolutely SHOCKED at the total RIP-OFF I was served… The plate consisted of 5 slices of tomato with a smidgen of mozzarella and two tiny basil leaves, a portion of preserved artichoke, a huge heap of roasted red pepper, 2 slices of prosciutto and 5 slices of salami! 2 SLICES OF PROSCIUTTO and 5 SLICES OF SALAMI…. R 160!!! … WHAT A ****! Of all the plates of “Antipasto Misto” I have eaten over the years, todays’ plate rates as the MOST CHEAPSKATE version I have had the misfortune of being served. Nice one Col’Cacchio… a real first…👎
