I thought this place was supposed to be classy?
Yesterday I went to Col'cacchio at Lynnwood Bridge for the first and certainly the last time.
I have never had anything this horrific happen to me in a restaurant.
Judging by the ridiculously over priced food and most expensive Stella draught you can buy in Pretoria, we thought we were in for a classing experience. We were wrong!
A group of us had been there for about 2 hours before a rude table arrived and started setting up a projector screen right next to us. In the process of erecting the screen, they hit my friend in the back of the neck and didn't bother to apologize, but rather gave us all a dirty look... for existing, I guess.
We eventually elected to move tables, not because they asked us to (THEY DIDN'T!) but because we could see that they were going to start with some presentation.
We couldn't move far due to the fact that we would have lost our waiter if we moved into a different section, so we moved one table up.
We then had to endure the head of what can only be described as a cult gathering, shout at the manager that we were there... How dare we sit there, how dare we be there. This woman was going ballistic, as though we couldn't hear her. Speaking about us as though we were the **** of the earth. Eventually the manager apologized to us, but the damage was already done.
The food was average and the only redeeming factor was that Daniel gave us good service. However, now that I understand what kind of low-life, disrespectful and downright rude people Col'cacchio aim to please above me and my friends, I will never step foot or suggest this pretentious (not classy) and stuck up (not fancy) restaurant to anyone.
