Col'cacchio - disappointing

I have purchased 2 x couple's night out for Silverstar - Tsogo Sun, Krugersdorp - Gauteng, promotion. I have paid R250,00 x 2. It was for my sister and her boyfriend and my wife and myself. We went on the 26th November 2019 as the promotion ended the 28th November 2019. We arrived at the box office at Silverstar at 18:30 and received our vouchers. We immediately went to the restaurant, Col'cacchio in order for us to do as many activities as possible as it was a weeknight and to work the next day. We arrived at the restaurant at 18:40 and we were taken to our table. The table was still full of crumbs, either pizza or bread. Table was cleared but dirty. We ordered our drinks and went through the menu as it was a set menu for this promotion. We placed our starter order. Took half an hour. We placed our main course and waited one and a half hours and the pastas my sister and myself order was still raw and hard. We called the manager and informed her of this. They replaced my sister's plate with something else but I have finished mine as I was hungry but the manager heard it from me. We ordered our desserts and left the restaurant nine fifteen. Now we went to the casino to get our free drink and play slots. We could not do the movie/ten pin bowling or the laser tag (one of the activities to be done). It was so late and we got home at eleven thirty. We gave the vouchers that remained to our adult kids to enjoy on our behalf. I am very disgusted in Col'cacchio and it's waiters, floor manager and restaurant owner. We will never ever go there again or recommend it to anyone. Pathetic and slow service. We had to ask the waitress to clear the dirty glasses, cans, etc. from our table and she even got more than 10% tip as we are those kind of people that will not hold grudges however I feel Col'cacchio need to compensate the four of us in some way. NOT to eat there again but to refund Tsogo Sun's money they have paid for our 4 x three course meals. So, if someone from Col'cacchio or even Tsogo Sun can respond to this review, it will make me happy. Thank you and a fair warning to all that are considering going to Col'cacchio at Silverstar Casino.

After my review I posted on Col'cacchio, Silverstar Casino - I have received a call from Andrew, the owner of the restaurant who apologized and invited us back to have a meal on him. He has explained that it was one of the busiest nights they had with regards to the couple nights promotion Tsogo Sun was running and had a shortage of staff as well. He also said that it is not our problem though and only his. He explained that the kitchen staff were very busy and had to cope with staff being off. We went there on the 3rd December 2019 and were welcomed friendly and warmly and were taken to our reserved table for four. I have phoned Andrew beforehand to put a bottle of Champers on ice as my sister's boyfriend was going to ask her for her hand in marriage. The table was set nicely and no crumbs or any other stains, etc. on the table. We were greeted by Andrew himself and said that he apologized again and I asked him to please stop apologizing as the matter has been handled and we are here to enjoy the evening and to be proven wrong that the restaurant is worth a 5-star rating. He handed us over to the waitress, Liziwe, who was the most friendliest and most efficient waitress I came across. We asked for drinks and waited for my sister and her boyfriend to arrive. They got there and were also greeted in a friendly and warm manner. They were seated and we enjoyed our drinks. We had our starters and this was fresh, warm and delicious. We then proceeded to look on the menu for our main course when my sister's boyfriend proposed and all was happy and cheerful. We had our main course and some more drinks and then our desserts. It was a very fine and pleasant experience compared to the first one we had where the food was not cooked thoroughly and the table was dirty but all forgotten and forgiven. The meal was perfect and even my steak was perfect as ordered. I must commend Andrew and his staff for the excellent service we have received. I wish him and the restaurant all the success for the future, Thank you Andrew. I now have your number on speed dial and will surely come back to your restaurant, Col'cacchio, Silverstar Casino.
