Coinvest is a ****
I'm a student at the University of South Africa (UNISA) and I informed that Unisa students who are NSFAS beneficiaries should register accounts with Coinvest in order to receive monthly allowances. I registered on Friday the 30th of June 2023 online and downloaded the app. It took me almost 2 hours to successfully register an account with Coinvest. The app kept on popping up errors time and time again, so I figured perhaps the app is not the correct one since I downloaded it from the web. I went to Google Play Store and to my surprise the app doesn't even exist on Google play Store.
I have since been waiting for my allowance since the 30th of June. I contacted Coinvest via Facebook messenger and they told me my allowance was goiy to be in my Coinvest account on Saturday the 1st of July still notification of parent and account balance is R0.00. I went back to Facebook messenger and left enquiry messages and they never even bothered to reply. I went to their website and started chatting with their chat box and I got automatic replies only and still nothing changed. I have been calling their number since yesterday morning till now and the call is engaged for about 6 minutes then they disconnect it, I haven't spoken to anyone telephonically. I got their WhatsApp number and when I send texts no one responds.
My study material has arrived at campus and I need to collect it. I was hoping my allowance would help me collect my books but Coinvest decided not to give me my allowances. People who don't even qualify for monthly allowances were given allowance by Coinvest and not me.
Coinvest has ridiculous bank charges and their system ALWAYS have glitches. I wouldn't recommend anyone to do business with Coinvest Africa. I feel like I've been ****med and my academic future is on the like because of this Company. I don't know if they are even a registered FSP. Mind you I am not the only student complaining of Coinvest, thousands of students are in the same boat is me.
How can a company **** students, I mean we are trying to upskill ourselves for the betterment of our lives and to prepare for a better tomorrow for everyone in the future, how can Coinvest Africa **** students?
NSFAS and Dr Blade Nzande are dead silent. Coinvest Africa must be done away with, we never had issues when allowances we directly deposited in our accounts. Coinvest seeks to destroy academic futures.
