Paving company arrives with different coloured cobbles to do the job and then leaves the job unfinished. Don't use them.

Do not use this company to do your paving.

We contracted them in to do a small cobbled area in our garden for us to put our table and chairs on. Fritz came out saw the job to be done, gave us a quote which we accepted on the 20th Jan. Fritz explained he was busy with a larger job but would fit us in on the first or second week of Feb.

He and his team eventually arrived on the 17th March and pitched up with a dark charcoal coloured cobble and not the natural uncoloured cobbles which we ordered with him. He did not even tell us about the colour change - just dropped off his guys at the house with the dark cobbles. When I saw how dark the cobble was - I immediately contacted him and asked him where are the cobbles we ordered. He said that the supplier sold ours but that they gave him these dark charcoal and that they are very popular as everyone is installing them. Sorry but that logic was entirely lost on me! I told him I wanted the natural colour as we ordered. I was gobbsmacked that he would think we would just accept an entirely different colour with no explanation from him! A normal approach would be contact the client first and ask if the dark charcoal would suffice. His team in the meantime had prepared the area (dug the area and layered the top gravel). They all packed up and left (with the charcoal cobbles) and Fritz said he would order the new cobbles and get back to us. It is now 29th March so we called Fritz to find out if the natural coloured cobbles have been supp****. Apparently they have and are waiting at the supplier but he has decided we must get someone else to finish the job as he is too busy doing large projects. Oh gosh where do I start? I specifically asked him if our job would be too small. He said not at all. On their website they do state no job too big or too small. This is unbelievably unprofessional. If I could leave a 0 rating I would. Do not use this company to do any paving. It will be a mistake.
