Bad attitude
I went for a Holiday in Durban and booked at The Coastland Hotel at Umhlanga.Checked in went well except that at the reception I wasn't told that you need to load credit on your account to pay for drinks while you stay in the hotel.Following day during breakfast,I odered a cappucino and the waiter told me I need to pay cash.I told him I don't have cash with me but he can load it under my room account and I will pay when I check out .I was told it can’t be done .I requested to speak to the supervisor,he couldn't assit.I then reuqested to speak to the manager. The superviosr tried contacting the manager by the name of James,(useless manager). The feedback I got from the supervisor is that James said “it’s company policy”. I then went to reception demanding to speak to James,a lady by the name of Rhiona (manager at the front counter),told me that James is in a meeting.I heard that bull**** story before trying to cover up for managers.I told her my story ,she also couldn't help.I insisted to speak to this so called useless James.Rhiona covered up for him saying he’s in a meeting.I left my details with Rhiona for James to call me back. It’s day 2 and James hasn't called me.As a manager James, let me give you a piece of advice,You listen to your customers and not hide in office claiming you have meetings.Secondly:you never bothered to call me.Thirdly, your DStv channels are of poor quality(picture and sound breakage).I will never set my ass in this hotel again nor refer someone to this hotel.I will make sure I send this to all media platforms so that the media knows about your stinking attitude towards your guest.Lastly, you don't pay the wages, you only handle the money,Customers pay the wages, remember that as you seem not ti be customer centric.
