Do Not buy a Cell Phone from Edcon.

My Blackberry went for repairs the second time within a few months. I was told the SIM reader was damaged and therefore was not under guarantee. It would cost me just over R1 000.00 to fix it, payable in advance. I asked for the phone t be sent back. This took 3 weeks. I hen took the phone to our local repair shop who repaired it while I waited and charged me R50.00. Edcon, you will never see me in your shops again. This is not the first problem.

Hello jessie james,

Please accept our sincere apologies for any frustrations occurred due to this incident.

As per our internal investigations: We were advised that your unit was first sent to Vodacom and there was physical damage detected. Vodacom required you to pay for the repair services but you refused.

The phone was then sent to Finrite as you had advised that you had insurance. Finrite confirmed then confirmed that they could repair the unit as you requested to cancel the insurance.

Our insurers Finrite was willing to assist you with the repairs, provided that you reinstate the insurance or your pay cash for the services. We understand that you refused to accept the offer.
