CNA needs to learn the ABCs of customer service

I purchased a smartphone phablet on CNA online & then immediately emailed CNA sales to advise them not to proceed with order (item didn't have required specs I was looking for). However CNA debited my credit card and despatched the item (received unopened/ sealed). I attempted to return the item to the store closest to me, CNA Centurion. As per CNA policy: "Refund and Exchange policy
Refunds or exchanges of items purchased online at www.cna.co.za may be done at any of our cna stores. Please bring this document with you when you return or exchange an item at a cna store." But I was advised that the item should be returned to Menlyn CNA. Frustrated by the inconsistency, I drove to Menlyn Mall CNA, where I handed over the unopened item in expectation of a smooth and swift refund. I'm still waiting for my refund 16 days later! I've contacted the store admin manager, Tsholofelo Sebidi who in turn escalated a refund request to a Thabo Foromo at Edcon. I've received no response from Thabo Foromo at Edcon to date. Suffice to say the Edcon CEO himself describes CNA as "broken" - see Financial Mail article on 7 October 2016. I reckon the next step is to lodge a complaint with the Consumer Ombudsman.
