CNA - Covid Spreaders with bad customer service

My Granny and I visited the CNA Clearwater store to buy a few things for gift wrapping. When approaching the till we were greeted by a pleasant enough teller who rang up our items. The teller noticed that her screen was showing a higher price than what was on the item, she informed us that she would be right back as she needed to get her manager to correct it. A few moments later the cashier returned. A few minutes later, her manager followed walking almost in slow motion toward us. There was clearly no rush to attend to us. As he approached the counter my Gran greeted him and noticed that his mask was around his next. This was their interaction:

Gran: Please would you put your mask on Manager: [Laughing]. Ya I need a new one this one keeps falling down... (no attempt at lifting it and it was literally around his neck not even just his chin) Gran: Well would you mind lifting it just while you are serving me Manager: Yes I do mind Gran: Okay, don’t worry - please keep your items Manager: Ya, Go!

I was in absolute shock that not only would a person who has chosen to be in retail which I’m afraid, customer service is just par for the course, talk to a customer like that, but worse for me is how a young man spoke to an elderly woman for her merely asking him to do what is lawfully obliged by CNA and all their staff.

The unfortunately part of this is if that is how your manager can act, I have no hope for the rest of the staff to which he is expected to train, monitor and lead by example.

It has left such a bad taste that I will not visit another cna store again and it’s disheartening how 1 individual can be so damaging to your brand
