Charging VAT on prices on the shelves

On Sunday morning, (15th March) we bought 2 items, and found out at the check out counter that the goods we bought still had to pay sales VAT on the items. We called the store manager, after paying, and asked her why this is happening like this, because nowhere do they advertise that VAT is excluded from prices in the store. She apologised about the situation, and promised me that she will take it up with the store's management. Also some books where mixed on a shelve with prices ranging from R30 - R40, but when we wanted to pay for a receipt book, it was R125! Things are poorly priced, so have to guess prices...?!<br> I just feel that people don't always look carefully on how much they pay, and CNA should know better!
