Black Friday no stock

On Friday 24th , I ordered the PS4 deal online. I couldn't believe my luck when i finished my purchase, provided all my details and got the confirmation E mail to say my order has been picked and it takes 2 -5 days. 5 days later i got a call from Vivian to say unfortunately they are out of stock and don't have a timeframe but would keep me updated. Why allow the sale to go through if you have no stock? Today i called the call centre only to be told they are only expecting the stock mid January, but I have already been charged for the PS4 which I haven't even received? Why advertise an item, allow it to be checked out but you cannot deliver? I would not have minded to wait an extra few days but a month and a half is a bit ridiculous. I have the reference number I received today from Nonnie. I am hoping someone will come back to me soon with an answer.
