I bought a HP laptop at CNA Centurion on the 14th of June 2018. the Laptop came with a printer at the price for R4999. The Laptop started giving problems in May 2019- it sopped charging... i then took the laptop back to CNA centurion on the 5th of June 2019. when I got there I was told by the consultant the claim might be rejected because the warranty is almost over. I ask the consultant why would it be rejected because I brought eh laptop before the warranty ended and he told me that she knows that because most clients were rejected. and it would be the 1st time. I left my laptop and later that evening I was called to be told that I have to go back to the shop to sign indemnity form ( stating that I would be liable to pay R500 and some odd cents should they find out that it was (personal damages) I then received another call after 2 hours after going back to the shop and I was told that the want me to the bring the box of the laptop and if I don’t have it the claim will be rejected. I told the consultant that I no longer have the box as the item was bought 11 month ago. I don’t understand why the box is more important that the receipt cause I gave then the receipt as proof of purchase and it is stated on the refund and exchange policy that they will need proof of purchase for all warranty claim- they did not mention the box.
