Worst Experience Ever

Took My Vehicle 2011 VOLVO C30 T5 for overheating problem and other engine issues which I reported to them on 17 December 2019. They gave me a Quotation of close to R27000.00 to repair the vehicle. After much bickering and arguing regards the costs and what must be dne i eventually gave them a go ahead to repair the vehicle. Car was with them for almost 2 months. On 14 February 2020 I took delivery of my Vehicle and payed the R26K they required. Upon taking my vehicle back, they advised me that the car was miss firing and I need to replace the Ignition Coils and Spark plugs which will cost me an additional R12000.00, however they did not have stock of these on the day. Since I did not have a vehicle for over 2 months, I suggested getting the parts from another dealership.

I therefore proposed to get the parts at Midrand Volvo and replaced them on the same day (14 February 2019). During the process of replacing the ignition coils and spark plugs, we found that 1 Ignition coil was damaged. The damage was possibly due to stripping the vehicle during overheating repairs but that we cannot confirm. Its speculation for now. But fact is only 1 ignition coil needed replacement as the plug to the coil was loose because it had cracked. when the ignition coils were replaced, the vehicle stopped misfiring.

On Saturday 15 February 2010, the car broke down again with a knock in the engine. Sounded like a Bearing Knock. I got the car towed back to CMH Volvo Hatfield as they said they provide 12 months Guarantee on their work. Today they telling me that to strip the vehicle to investigate the knock it will cost me R11000.00. Just for stripping so they can check what is wrong with the car. Not fixing. Their guarantee on the work done will not cover this. They cannot tell me what is wrong with the car and they worked on the engine a day before.

They assuming that my car will need a new engine which will cost R125000.00 out of my pocket. They worked on my car and I drove it for less than a day and it broke down yet again and now I must pay R125000.00 after spending plus minus R26000.00 a day before with them to fix my car.

Please assist with this matter as I am being ******ed.

I cannot pay another cent. I just bought this vehicle in October 2019 and already after having to finance it monthly have to also buy another engine!!!!!!!

To put it on record, when I initially took my car to CMH Volvo for diagnostics, it was not miss firing at all, it was just overheating and had a problem starting. I actually drove it in and it was not towed to their service centre.
