Bad Service from CMH Toyota

Purchased a 2024 Toyota Fortuner 2.8 GD6 VX in January 2024. the day after taking Delivery i report that the vehicle has a vibration, vehicle has been to Toyota almost every month since i have taken delivery, the issue is still not resolved after doing all checks / balancing / alignment, I event went to the extent of taking the vehicle privately to have a high speed balancing / Tyre & rim check, with a private company reports show the 1 of the tyre had an uneven surface, reports were provided to Toyota CMH Umhlanga, Toyota then sent the tyres to Dunlop for inspects, reports from Dunlop was that there are no issues with the Tyres.

Here it gets worst, on the 15th of November 2024 while driving home from work, a waring light comes on saying Oil level low, this is at 14000 kms (After the 10 000 service), I stop at the 1st petrol station to check the Oil, the attendant on duty tells me that the Oil is Full, I insist on him filling a pint (500ml) the warning goes away & another waring appears, Low Oil pressure then the engine gets noisy, drove about 1km to my final destination, switched the vehicle off, started the vehicle the next morning, same warnings & engine still noisy, I called CMH Toyota, spoke to the service Manager, I was asked to call Toyota roadside assistance for the vehicle to be towed to Toyota which I did, 4 days later I get a call from the service Manager advising that the vehicle is ready for collection, upon my arrival at Toyota I was informed that the warnings was due to a the oil filter seal being cracked & the vehicle has been looking oil, the service manager couldn’t understand nor could I, how was that possible, my thoughts was due to unprofessional or unskilled workmanship on the vehicle when the 10 000 km service was done…

Around the 19th of December I collected my vehicle, no issues with the engine, drove the vehicle daily for about 40km till the 13th of December 2024, vehicle was parked of from the 13th of December to the 5th of January 2025 as I was overseas. I started the vehicle on the 5th of January, vehicle started without any issues, on the 6th of January I went shopping, about 25 kms from home, about 500m to my destination I hear a rumble in the engine & the vehicle lost all power, same story again, I called CMH Toyota, they asked me to call Toyota roadside, which I did, an hour later a tow truck comes, takes the vehicle to CMH Toyota, I get a call on the 7th of January from the service manager advising that he received the vehicle, he started & he hears a rumble in the engine, took Toyota about 3 days to decide on how to proceed. After 3 days Toyota advise me that they will have to strip the engine part by part to determine the fault as they have found metal fillings in the Oil, so they start stripping (A Brand-new Engine (15 000 kms), on Monday the 13th of January I had to call Toyota for an update, I was then advised that the bearing no. 1 was damaged, CMH Toyota will have to send a report to Toyota Head office, Toyota CMH had engineers to have a look at the bearing / engine, as per the engineers finding, they damaged bearing was caused by the low oil pressure & that’s probably due to a faulty Oil pump.. all reports were sent to Toyota Head office as per the Service Manager at CMH Toyota, I have been calling CMH Toyota on a daily basis for an update, today the 17th of January 2025 I am told that Toyota Head office have requested further investigations on the vehicle, they even requested that CHM today inspect the vehicle if it has been involved in accident or roll over.

Its 12 days without a vehicle, CMH Toyota doesn’t have courtesy vehicles….

I need help to resolve the issue.. Do I go legal… Do accept the vehicle after repairs I done, bearing in mind, I purchase it Brand New from Toyota under a year ago…
