POOR POOR SERVICE!!! BEWARE OF CMH NISSAN SANDTON !!! AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!!
I purchased a used VW Beetle vehicle on 08 October 2018 at CMH Nissan Sandton. Here's to a horrible purchase ever made.
Tuesday, 9 October the sales consultant was doing a follow up with me and I advised that the car is vibrating when taking off and that the key refuses to come out when parked and has to positioned in a particular way for it to come out of the ignition and that the door panel is lose on the drivers door. Decided that I would personally go into the dealership the Saturday to show Ntsako (sales consultant) the problems I have with the vehicle. Drove the vehicle around with him and showed him all problems and he told me to bring the car in on Monday.
Same day after driving off the dealership I discovered that the drivers door does not lock with central locking system. On 15 October, the car was meant to go in for service or repair but was rescheduled to the next day. The following day the driver came to the office to deliver me a courtesy and take my vehicle. Friday , 19 October I went into the dealership to find out what was happening with the vehicle as Ntsako was not around the previous day. I went straight to the Principal Dealer Mark Moffat, told him that I was told by Ntsako that the vehicle was at VW Strydom Park and was being repaired there. Mark told me that that was not true and the car was actually being repaired in their workshop, as they were waiting for the part from VW which was delivered that morning. The door was repaired but the service light and the vibration in the vehicle was still not sorted.
I insisted that the car must be booked in the following Monday to sort out the problems I have on the vehicle. Only 29 October 2018, Ntako gets back to me and tells me he didn't forget about me and will book the car in. Same evening I sent Ntsako a text of the problems I am encountering with the vehicle.
1. The car shakes when taking off or driving or even on a steep which could be reason the service light keeps showing up and that the car is driving sideways, needs a wheel alignment and balancing
2. Sent a video to him weeks back showing him the service light on the car. On the day I picked the vehicle up Jacque ( Used Cars Manager) advised that the car was not serviced prior to it leaving when I purchased it .
3. The spare keys are broken. Which I received on the day of purchase and was told that when I fetch my plates, I will get new ones and still have not received anything.
4. The door not locking - which has been sorted out
5. Right hand sided brake lights were not working
The car was taken in 29 October 2018 but the driver who picked it up at the office. 30 October no response from Jacque or Mark as Ntsako was not in the office. 31 October 2018 I had to pick the vehicle up and this where all the nonsense took place. The car was booked in for a service and when picking it up the service was done on the car. there is no service book for the vehicle and no proof to show that the service was done. Ntsako saidthat from the diagnosis of the workshop they found that there is a problem with the gear and he couldn't pronounce it properly. Sat Jacque and Mark that very same day down that I need the vehicle as in today but the problem is still not fixed by them as I have training in Sandton. Mark and Jacque both insisted that the vehicle will be fixed on Monday when I return it.
On 02 November I sent Mark and Jacque a long email stating all the problems I had and that I would like for the car to booked at a VW service centre closest to home or the dealership and I will personally see to that the vehicle goes there myself. Jacques response was : Good Afternoon Miss Mogemi I would like to apologise for the inconvenience experienced. The vehicle is booked for Monday at VW to resolve your outstanding queries. My driver will collect the vehicle from you Monday morning.
05 November I drove to CMH Nissan Sandton to see what exactly they would do with the vehicle. Ntsako and myself drove to VW Northcliff as he had booked with them. We spoke to Faraaz and he instructed that we get a technician to test drive the vehicle. The test drive was done with myself and the technician. He advised that the vehicle be booked in for a diagnosis in order to see what they need to repair. Jacque did not want the vehicle to go to VW Northcliff as he fought with Ntsako and myself over the phone as to why we went there and not VW Centurion, which doesn't even make difference cause the needs to be booked in. The driver at CMH fetched me and took me back to CMH to get a loan vehicle and that was when Jacque and Mark were not being truthful and advised that the car will be repaired by them and not VW.
Had several bad calls with Mark and him telling me that I will not cancel my deal with them and I will take the vehicle as It is and he will not repair the VW and wants a second opinion. I took it upon my hands to find out who Mark reports to as I was not pleased with the response given by him. I called Charles Webber with my husband stated all the encounters with him, he told us to email him everything and he will respond
Nothing has been resolved as yet!!
