CMH Nissan Sandton

I bought a second-hand vehicle I saw advertised on the net from CMH Nissan Sandton in July 2022. I am resident in Durban. The second-hand salesperson Fahdil was very helpful initially - he even took a video of the vehicle and sent it to me on What's App so I could make an informed decision. He also sent me pictures of the service book and the spare keys to reassure me they were available. I decided to purchase the vehicle in cash and then the problems started. I waited over 2 weeks for the car to be sent down to me, despite him promising that it was being dispatched almost daily. He kept saying that the courier company was delaying things. When I eventually contacted the courier company myself they said he hadn't booked it. Then when the vehicle was delivered to Nissan in Pinetown it did not have the service book or the spare key. When I spoke to him, he said the courier company must have lost the envelope with these in transit. I contacted the courier company who denied receiving it. I tried unsuccessfully to get the spare keys for 6 months - with regular promises that it was going to be sent- with different timeframes each time. I also approached the dealer where the car had been serviced to get a replacement service book, but they could only provide it at a cost. Fahdil said they would refund me the money for the service book replacement if I got a written quote, which I did and provided to him. I also spoke to the dealer principal Jaco in Sandton who also promised that the keys would be dispatched to me - that they were waiting for it from overseas, which had never been disclosed to me. I never received the keys, or the reimbur*****t for the service book, despite all the paperwork I provided. I eventually sold the vehicle (for other reasons) without the key.
