Dont use this dealership. Totally unacceptable
Very very disappointed. Dealer used the wrong grade of oil and also overfilled oil. I booked my car in 2 weeks in advance and asked what time should I bring my car. I also told them I require it before 2pm as it was just a minor service. Got there at the stipulated time and they only started work around 2:30pm. I only got my car back at around 5:40.
Before I left my vehicle I told the service advisor that the Nissan Dealer that sold me the vehicle said I should only use 5w30 fully synthetic oil. They said "you'll cook your motor if you that, the correct oil is normal 15w40 and not fully synthetic." Made sure with even the workshop manager and everyone at this dealer says 15w40, even the parts department. This dealership even said that Nissan warranty would not pay me put in the event something went wrong as I was using the wrong oil, meanwhile they themselves are the ones that use the wrong oil......
I told them to check my aircon as I felt it was not blowing as cold as it used to. They said they regassed it and it was still the exact same. (This was sorted out for me by Nissan Pinetown)
They did not adjust my handbrake. (Nissan Pinetown actually picked this up and they adjusted it)
I did not receive old parts back. I was told I did not receive these as I requested for my car not to be washed. I honestly dont see what my car not being washed has got to do with me not receiving the old parts back.
Next morning I checked the oil level and saw it was well over 1cm over the full mark. Tried to contact them on numerous occasions and they never return your calls.
I then contacted Nissan South Africa and they said they would put me through to a Nissan Dealer in Pretoria and I should check with them the grade of oil. I did this and even Nissan Cape Town said 5w30 is the correct oil. All dealers said the vehicle should not be driven as the oil is overfilled and should be sorted out immediately.
I then contacted Nissan Pinetown and the service manager as well as service advisor were incredibly helpful. They even contacted the service manager at PMB and requested him to give me a call. He did not.
I needed to use the vehicle and had no option but to take it all the way to Pinetown to get this rectified.
Nissan PMB charged me R4265.84 Nissan Pinetown charged me R3038.78
I went to Nissan PMB to get a refund for this and they only paid me out R1032.77.
This is totally unacceptable business practice. People work hard for their money and expect dealerships to know what they are doing and to be honest.
I am out of pocket of R3233.07.
Nissan Pinetown are excellent, quick, honest and offer a great service. If you own a Nissan and require a service, take it to Nissan Pinetown and not to Nissan PMB.
