Ladies, beware of CMH Mazda Umhlanga service center, you will get back your car messed up!!

I sent my car for a service for 105km and paid 3346.04 and it came back jerking and engine light was on. I called the service advisor to inform her about what was happening and i was asked to bring the car back for assessment. The report I got back was that I had to change one coil pack and i was told its 3600 including labour. I went and ordered the part from CHM service center in Durban. Strange enough the price was cheaper than Umhlanga. I got the part and went to a private mechanic and when the car was assessed there was nothing wrong with the coil pack but everything was wrong with the plugs. They put the new plugs on and the car is working with no engine light on.

I inquired with Durban service center and they told me the list they could do is to keep the part and sell it to the customer that will need it (timeframe cannot be set since its based on the customer need that I don't know if it will happen anytime soon). With Durban I understand because I came with a report from Umhlanga saying which part is needed.

I am so angry with CMH Mazda Umhlanga because I feel I was taken advantage of as a woman, prices were ridiculously high and the service became a disaster and the service manager says he cant do anything about it.

If I was a man, I don't believe this would have happened, I am writing this to warn women to be careful when sending their cars to this service center. I know that women are the ones often ripped of because they know less about cars. This is totally unacceptable because we pay for these services they are not doing us a favour.

I am deeply hurt and angry to have went to service my car only to get it back with issues it didn't have.
