Complaint

Complaint I’m writing this report with regards the below vehicle I had purchased from CMH Mazda Durban (Used cars) on 02 March 2018: MAKE OF VEHICLE : 2011 CHEVROLET CRUZE 2.0 D LT ENGINE NUMBER : Z20S ********** K CHASSIS NUMBER : KL1PM5ER1BK048290

The very next day I had received the vehicle I started having problems with the fly wheel in the gearbox, the tow truck came and towed it back to the dealership to repair it, and it’s stayed with the dealership for about 3 weeks.

Upon the return of the vehicle the speedometer, braking system and the air-conditioning system was not working, the vehicle was not mechanically fit as it was not taking gears properly. Again the vehicle had to go back to the dealership for about a month. I was told that they had ordered the pin for the speedometer.

Eventually the vehicle came back to me and again the speedometer and the air-conditioning system was still not working, again it went back.

On December Vishal Rajkoomar (Assistant Manager) brought the car to me at my work place and it was making some funny noise then I went to him while engine was switched off I asked about the noise he acted surprised then started the engine and there was no noise, so I took the car but immediately I turned air conditioning on the noise started. I then called him and he said he will come back to me but never did till I discovered that the air conditioning pipes were not assembled or fixed to the vehicle. Gear number 2 and 4 were not engaging properly when selected and also the cruze mode would turn off automatically while driving.

I took the car to Dekra AA in Durban for testing and the report came back with faults and I send that report to Desigan Sanders Govender (Dealer Principal), Vishal emailed me back that they will fix the car but when I asked for the car that I will be using meanwhile, he told me that they will be no car that I will get and they don't know how long it will take them to fix my car. My main concern is that as a family we need this car for work and my wife works far from me and we have three kids that attend different schools. Often enough on weekends I'm using the car to attend emergency work related matters , having the car taken way without a replacement will jeopardize a lot for me. When I bought the car I was assured that it was in a perfect condition and to my surprise AA confirmed otherwise and even after that the Dealership refuses to take responsibility and continues to undermine my rights as a customer.

I am very disappointed with the service I have received from the dealership as I have made countless call regarding this vehicle. As we speak the vehicle is still having those mechanical problems. This vehicle has been taken back to the dealership so many times to be repaired but still comes back with the same problem if not more.
