Honda The Glen: Khaya Mswane & Dylan Pepperell are natural ****s
I purchased a Honda WR-V on Friday the 29th of December 2023, I drove the car until the 3rd of January 2024 then decided to take it back to Honda The Glen due to stiff suspension.
On Wednesday the 3rd of January 2024 I took the car back to Honda The Glen and told Khaya Mswane (salesman) about the car problem, he told me that they first needed to check if the car was faulty then I left the car with them. I then got a call from one of the ladies at Honda The Glen saying the car was checked and had no problems.
I went back to them and Khaya pretended as if he didn't know what I was talking about and asked me to test drive the car with one of their technicians, I asked Khaya to come with us when test driving the car but he refused. During the test drive the technician (Xolani Ndlovu) and I felt what I was complaining about and he said he is aware of this issue but all the Honda WR-Vs are built like that and also said I'm one of many customers who complained about the same issue.
I went back to Khaya's desk and asked him if he had spoken to Xolani about our test drive and he said No but went to the Xolani immediately to ask him. He returned and told me the technician said the car was fine. I asked Khaya to call Xolani & put him on the loudspeaker but Khaya dialed and then left us at his desk for about 10 minutes when he came back he told us that the WR-Vs have a hard suspension and were designed for India & Brazil meaning that he was aware of what I was complaining about all along and the funny thing is that he was acting like he knew nothing about this issue. He ignored the fact that I wanted to speak to Xolani in front of him so that the technician could say the exact words that he said to me during the test drive.
Khaya then went to fetch one of his colleagues (Nkosi) who also told us about the WR-V suspension issues and also told us that returning this car to Honda The Glen would be treated as trade in (meaning Honda would have to repurchase the car from the bank and they will determine the price). Khaya then called the Honda finance advisor who told me that after signing the contract I was not able to return the car but I don't even have the contract that I signed with Honda.
I got a call from the arrogant dealer principal (Dylan Pepperell) saying what Xolani said to me was taken out of context and how would he know since he wasn't there when test driving and we were speaking in Zulu with Xolani.
I would advise anyone who wants to buy a Honda not to go to The Glen branch as they are ****s, even worse Khaya Mswane doesn't even know what he is doing. The only thing one will get from Khaya is bad customer service and on the other hand, Dylan keeps on dodging customers.
Unhappy customer
