Desperately Needed a Solution
Suzuki Swift 1.2 GLX AMT Year Model 2020 Prior to purchasing the above Model I had owned a 2017 model for 3 years 6 months with no problems whatsoever. This is why I decided to purchase the above make and model car from SUZUKI PINETOWN which is SERVICED by HONDA PINETOWN Brand New.. We picked up this Vehicle on the evening of the 06 August 2020 and spoke to Salesman on 25 August 2020 when he called to fetch Number plates. I took the car on the 27 August 2020 to fetch number plate and license and complained to the salesman that there was a problem with the car. There was excessive wind noise and dust coming into the car and gear noise as well. He stated that I take the car to the workshop at Honda Pinetown. At that stage the vehicle had only 621 kms on the clock. The technician at Honda Pinetown and I went for a test drive. He stated there was a problem and requested that the vehicle be booked in to resolve the problems. The agent at Honda, Pinetown stated on that day that she will call Suzuki and thereafter will book the vehicle in. On 01 September 2020 I received a courtesy call from Honda requesting feedback regarding my visit to their dealership, I stated that they were supposed to book the vehicle in they said that they would come back to me. They called back and the vehicle was booked for the 07 September 2020. On this day my vehicle had 1050 kms on the clock. My patience and following due process and protocol on this matter is causing me more harm than good, since it had been said that they cannot take the car back because it is now 4 months old even though the problems were not resolved by Honda, Pinetown. My humble and most sincere appeal to you at this stage is for the dealership to take this vehicle back and to refund all necessary costs that I paid. This is within my rights. I do not want to be unfair to the dealership neither do I want the dealership to be unfair to me or to exploit this situation. I want to return this vehicle due to the following reasons to which I hope will be taken into consideration in coming to a decision soon. In my 35 years of diving experience and limited research in science and technology I am of the opinion that this car has a design flaw base on the excessive dust that is entering the engine compartment and inner cabin, the excessive wind noise entering the cabin to which your dealer principal says is
I noted with 3 dealerships I received the same answers it seems that they are trained to answer in this manner and they are under trained in diagnostics, inexperienced in fault finding and unskilled in listening to noise. I want to note if anyone else had this same experience on the following 1. Wind noise to what their technical team has stated it is wind turbulence. I would like to know how they came to this conclusion. What formulae or tests was used and the acceptable numbers or Db that they noted. I do have recordings of this (let us test this in court) 2. Excessive Gear noise to which they say is normal due to the actuator. Proper engineering will have reduced this noise however I must say the other car in this category has a lower noise. 3. Brake noise, if this is a compond problem then it should be changed this could become a recall problem in terms of your cars. Noisy brakes is due to higher friction which could lead to quicker ware and more cost. Regards Ricky Govender.
