No Prices, No Test drives, No Deal.

<p>I have recently got my learners licence for a motorbike. Some friends of mine have got Harley's and I thought it a good idea to buy myself a bike. I went for a test drive on a GS 1200 adventure at BMW Centurion Gate last week. Sa****ay I went for a test drive at Harley-Davidson, Lynnwood. Both places offered me helmets to wear and when I signed the indemntly form I was off. What a great experience it was!</p> <p>I thought it only fair to also test drive a "super bike", to completely make up my mind, as to which bike I would buy. When I got to Honda Menlyn, there is only one person that can help you, so I waited about 10 minutes before someone helped me. Walking between the limited stock that there is, I noticed that there is no prices on any of the bikes, really helpful.</p> <p>It is school holiday and I took the day off to help my wife with our 2 kids, so I only dressed casually in sweatpants and jacket. Dont know if that is what put off the bearded old salesman, but when he eventually helped me and I asked if I can take one of the bikes for a test drive. He asked me where my helmet is and I said, I dont have one. He asked me how do I want to go for a testdrive without a helmet. I said that it wasnt a problem at BMW and Harley, where they offered me protective gear. He then asked if I have a licence. I said I only have a learners licence, and he said sorry they don't do test drives if you only have a learners licence, because of the insurance or some bulldust. I asked him so if I want to buy a bike, would that be fine? He said "yes", you can buy the bike if you want now problem. I asked him how would I know if I want to buy the bike without taking it for a test drive? He said that if I want to buy the bike we will fill in the paperwork to do finance on the bike and see if I am approved and let the owner of the bike know, sign the indemnity form and then take the bike for a test drive. So immediatly he asumed that i wanted to finance the bike. I asked him what if I wanted to buy the bike cash? He said that they would still have to let the owner of the bike know and I would have to sign the indmently because if I take the bike out for a test drive I am liable for it and if I crash it I would have to return it in the same conditon as how I received it. I thanked him and he said that's fine, I must just understand that we are close to the university and that a lot of 20 year olds come in there who wants to test drive some of the bikes and he can't do that. </p> <p>I just want to thank the salesman for helping me make up my mind, I will never in my live go to another Honda Dealer again and I dont know how this branch even make sales. No prices, poor floor service, no test drives and assuming and rude sales staff. Dont judge a book by its cover, I could have bought any bike there off the floor cash.</p> <p> </p> <p>I'll go buy a bike somewhere else, thank you.</p>
