Poor and unfair treatment at Honda Hatfield
I purchased my Honda ballade 2014 CVT trend around the 7th -12 February 2016.
The reason for this email is a result of being treated very poorly by the service and management staff of Honda Hatfield over the past 2 years since I've purchased my vehicle.
Over the past two days (5 and 6) March I have missed very important appointments and my time was completely wasted as they continued giving me a run around when I took my car in for another quotation.my car was kept in for two full days without notice nor an apology or a reason for this inconvenience, just to do a quotation on a door rubber, which they have done previously when I brought in the car for the same issues.
My driver has also driven in twice with no success after he too was previously issued with a quote for the door rubber after being made to wait the intire day with no explanation of why he had to wait 9 hours for a quotation on a door rubber that has been done previously on other visits. In order for me to run an efficient business, I cannot afford to keep booking off the driver and the vehicle for days with no explanation or resolution to my problems.
From the very first week of purchase I made a note of issues that I found on the vehicle and sent an email listing items that I was not satisfied with. Such as the rear door rubber, spare keys, seat, windscreen whiper cover and carpet.
Two years later and many visits to the dealership, I am still crying out for help on the very same four items in 2018. Mind you, the Sales manager Dannie calls me almost every two months to ask if my vehicle is fine and everytime he calls I keep saying to him that No it is not. My issues have never been resolved and I explained that I cannot keep sending in the driver if he is just gna keep wasting time, money and Petrol driving to Pretoria and Back with no resolution.
The unfortunate part is that I have been given a run around from pillar to post, and the two gentlemen I had been communicating with in all emails and phone calls are now no longer working for Honda. Last year November I was told that my warranty policy has expired so no repairs can be done on my car unless if I pay cash for all the work.
On the 5th of March I drove my car in to have a quotation done on the same issues that I have been complaining about for two years. I was told that my vehicle would be ready around 3pm, at 4pm after no feedback or update, I called Honda Hatfield to ask how far along they were with my vehicle, I was told that it needs time and won't be done, so I should leave it or take it and return tomorrow. I opted to leave it only to return the following day at 1pm and the vehicle was not yet ready for collection, I left The wash bay at 5:10pm waiting for my car.
In all of this back and forth explaining, I requested to please speak with DP whom is also mentioned a several times in the emails so he is definitely aware of this matter.
When myself and the Service Manager walked in to the office she explained my situation in Afrikaans. So not only were they talking about my vehicle they were also speaking about me in a language I don't understand. When she was done, he sat back in his chair folding his arms and his first word to me was "but sir why did you wait until this late before brining your vehicle? There is nothing I can do about it because now your warranty is expired" before I could explain myself he rudely interrupted me by saying there is nothing we can do about your matter as the was your fault for not following up with the matter, "you were neglegent with your vehicle I am not gna pay for any repairs and neither will the warranty, so basically there is nothing to discuss". I then said how unfair he was being towards me as he is not even giving me a chance to explain my situation, he did not greet me nor offer me a seat, did not care to ask me for my side of the story, spoke to me in a very aggressive and conclusive tone and simply said that I will get a quote and pay for everything myself he is not liable for my neglegence.
To this date I have complained to thr Honda SA head office and was told that call centre would handle my issue, after several days of me chasing them around for a solution, I received an emails from the sane dealer prncipal who treated me very poorly when I was at his dealership over the past two years.
