CMH FORD MENLYN SOLD ME A PROBLEMATIC CAR
On the 3rd of July 2018 I bought AUDI A4. 1. Three weeks after while driving it reflected a sign of water coolant on the display. I immediately reported it to the dealership and they came to collect it for fixing. 2. Two weeks after it came back if showed a sign of Engine and i reported it immediately and they told me to book it at Audi, it was booked for the next week. Audi diagnosis were that the car was mixing water with oil and the cost to fix will be R14000 of which the warranty will only pay R4000 and the balance of that I should pay and I declined. The dealership took it to their own mechanic in Pretoria where it took almost a full month. By that time they were giving their cars as a courtesy which were taken from their showroom. The updates that I was receiving was that the car is fine they just want to make sure that is 100% and it was not mixing water with oil (meaning Audi diagnosis were). I asked them why is it taking so long and demanded a full report of what they were doing on the car and I wanted my car back. When they came to give their 3rd courtesy car and collect the second I decided to keep both of their cars so that I can put pressure on them to bring my car back. (That was Monday) They brought my car the next Thursday and claiming that the car is 100% fixed but they couldn't tell me what exactly was wrong with the car. Few weeks after there was a sound coming from the engine when I start it in the morning. When they took it for the Engine warning light I told them that if the problem is that of Audi diagnosis then I don't want that car anymore and I rather get another one or cancel the deal. Both options were ignored by the dealership and told me and the bank that they won't cancel the deal and I reported the problem to the ombudsmen. Few weeks after the car had some awkward sounds from the engine when I start it in the morning. I recorded it. I demanded the report up and (on Monday) they took me to their mechanic who still failed to give me a full report of what they were doing on my car. And i gave them the recording. They said I should bring it on Wednesday and we had a problem that they won't provide me with the courtesy car because of the previous incident. And i told them as long as my family doesn't have a transport then I won't bring it. Few weeks after the car reflected a sign of EPC and I reported it again sending them pictures to their whatsapp. And i decided to dump the car back to them. I took it back on the 3rd of December 2018. They called to tell me that the car has been fixed and we can collect it and I told them I don't want that car back, they told the bank they will take the car to the storage and I will be liable for everything. The bank advise me to collect the car. On Friday 10th February 2019 the Engine warning light is back and they say they will make a plan on Monday the 11th of February. I'm paying for the car which is always at their workshop I'd never enjoyed it. Actually I've quota and 3 quota of the time since I bought it is always with them. This is not my car as I had never stayedwith it for a full month without giving me a problem. Please help me hello Peter
