Worst function venue in Kempton Park, CLUB VEGAS Bonaero Park

<p>We heard about Club Vegas and decided to have a 60th party there. Shobha the Owner promised us the world on the first meeting stating that included in the deal for R7000 for 50 people will be Tables, chairs, overlays, DJ with sound, Potatoe and mince samoosas and Puri Patha, main course, butter chicken with lamb curry and roti and rice, 3 salads and cheese cake, tiramisu and mulva pudding. Also offered a discount if the price is too much. On the second visit a lot has changed and since we had no other venue we had to continue. When I mailed then called she mailed back to say do not call me only email. Three days before the party I received a mail from Shobha stating that the offer is whats on the mail and is not negotiable. Very rude and arrogant. On the day the venue was extremely dirty and overlays were stained. We had to go about cleaning the tables and chairs. Some Tables and chairs were broken and there were only 47 chairs not 50. Food was placed at the stage and didnt look good. Should have been in adjacent room. At 10pm we were told that the DJ is leaving and we have to pay R100/hour if we want him. Only lamb curry and rice was served we had to provide additional dish. The DJ was a friend and not a DJ so didnt know what to do and didnt know his music. We were told that the party can go on as long as we wanted to but lights were switched on at 1am and we were told to stop immediately as the licence does not allow us to continue. The bain marie that we took was mixed up with their stuff and Leo insisted that we did not bring the inside of it. After us insisting to search we found it in their box as it was marked. This is when Shobha became abusive and lost her temper. The left over food was supposed to be given to us to take away but was sold to their patrons and also a Police Officer took away containers of food. We had to provide additional deserts as they only provided trifle and jelly. Luckily we carried ice-cream and custard. There was only potatoe samoosas on the table not as discussed. The meat was very tough and quite possible that it was sheep and not lamb. Club Vegas has really let us down and would never recommend any one support this venue. Even thou it is turning into a mini casino soon. The only understanding person that actually delivered on his promises was the husband Vilven.</p>
