Misleading Competition
On the 23/12/15, i purchased a Tropika juice in Shallcross - Durban whilst on my way to PMB. Got to PMB and while waiting for the wife to complete her shopping i entered the tropika competition, i won a prize being a romans pizza. When trying to redeem it, shop wants receipt..this should have been stipulated on the competition info on tropika product..who really keeps every receipt for items purchased especially like a packet of chips or juice. This is clearly unfair to the consumer as one could argue that one bought the promotional product in the hopes of winning and when one did win..unstipulated term and conditions become applicable all of a sudden. How can u expect a consumer to know that a receipt is required when he is advised after the fact. Plain and simple *****..pending a response i will take this up with relevant controlling bodies and will also contact local newspapers..nothing like some free publicity.
