FALSE ADVERTISING

i am writing this with a broken heart to raise awareness to students an prospective student in all universities who are in need of financial assistance. i am sad to announce that i was disappointed by the organisation C*****, which is a famous brand manufacturing and distributing dairy products.

last year on the 9/02/2019 i app**** for the bursary that was advertised on the c***** website to fund my studies for the year 2018, the application was completed and submitted online, with all the required paperwork as specified on the application page. the closing date for the application was on the 30/03/2018. after submitting the application i received a confirmation from c***** as proof of application and they further mentioned that i should expect an answer in two to three weeks time.

The trauma began! after two weeks i phoned them to follow up on my application, i was told to wait till end of march. march passed without a word from c*****, i phoned again and was told that there are no bursaries, I explained that i have evidence that i received an email from them as evidence that there was an advert on bursaries, they denied ever advertising any bursaries. this is to make other students and prospective student that are applying for funding from companies under the impression that they will receive financial assistance. Companies advertising under false pretense should be penalized and be held accountable for giving people false hope through their advertising. i still owe the institution the total sum of a year tuition fees outstanding.
