Accident Claim

Their driver hit my mirror on a left turn, if I did not move out of the way into the oncoming traffic there would have been way more damage than just my mirror. Then I had to take off work to get 2 quotations and all the supporting documents. The claim was delayed because their driver never reported it, eventually someone phoned me just to give me a bunch of excuses of why the accident wasn't reported, apparently he was on leave for 3 months (that's how long they have known about the accident), then the driver didn't work there anymore and then he worked there again for them to report the accident. Today I got this reply from Marsh Africa 'Herewith please find release – for 50% - you have to keep a proper lookout at all times bearing mind that a 7 ton vehicle needs to take 2 lanes to turn as per your statement - for signature and return to ourselves together with proof of your banking details . Any further legal action will be strongly defended.' My statement was that their drivers excuse was the truck need 2 lanes to turn! Nowhere on the truck was this indicated!! They are now placing the blame on me, because their driver turned into my lane and pushed me into oncoming traffic. Thank you C***** for the disappointing service! Thank you for only inconveniencing me from the start! Thank you for telling me to look where I drive because apparently I don't know that. Thank you for making me regret actually moving out of the way! Your service has been pathetic.
