Cloud Nine's motto: Don’t measure where the problem is, so there is no problem....
I bought a Cloud Nine blue Eclipse NT on 16 February 2016 as Hirch's in Silverlakes. I weigh 96Kg and sleep alone on my 152cm bed that is tested for 125Kg. It wasn't long before the mattress sagged so bad that I started getting back pain. I rotated the bed in order to sleep on the other side of the bed. Recently, that side also sagged so bad that the back pains were back.
I went back to Hirsh's to complain about the bed and they refered it to Cloud Nine for inspection. A week later the guy pitched up and did their test. Not where the problem is, but where as piece of meterial told him to do it. I showed and explained to him that it is no use measuring were there are no problems.
Some time later I received a letter from JC Smit which said that my bed was measured according to "SABS" standards and that nothing was found to be wrong. He goes on to say that I must call him in a few months time if the problem continues.....
To that, me reply was:
"Good day.
I really don’t know how either you OR SABS can determine where I sleep on MY bed?!?!?!?!!?!
I was there when he “tested” my bed and it was very clear that none of the point that he tested were where I sleep. I can therefore not understand that you can recon that my bed is in order when it clearly isn’t.
What I have learned from this experience is that you are ***** in your method of advertising and promoting your products. I have nothing but absolute disrespect for you and the way you treat your clients. As well as the way you hide behind tests that are NOT applicable.
Why must I contact you in a few months if the problem is already clear and visible?????? I bet you to take the same equipment that was used to declare my bed in order and measure where the problem is. I can assure you that the readings will not be the same and will show that my claim is true and valid.
I suppose you are just in line with the way our country is ruled...

Gys Prinsloo"
This morning I received his reply:
"Good morning Mr Prinsloo
Many thanks for your mail received The mattress was tested within the company’s normal testing method, and the results were within specification, whereby, the body impressions indicate the comfort level is conforming to your body’s individual contours, and is not a structural defect as stated in our service warranty leaflet. Kindly note, as mentioned previously, you have a 2-year guarantee and a 20-year service warranty.
Regards
J C Smit Director"
He showed no interest in the problem. Only his excuse.
I do not have the funds to sue him, and that is how he gets away with his fualty products. I truly belief that if the measurements were taken where the problem is, it would show clearly how bad the problem is.
I would never advise anybody to buy any of their product. If this is what happens to one of their top models, I fear to see what happens to the cheaper models.
