Frustrated student

I had put on certain items on laybye at Clothing Junction in Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town before lock down. Once we as a country we're able to continue to go to retail stores under lock down regulations that is, I went to the store to go take out my laybye. To my surprise I found that the store store was no longer there, I asked security personnel as to what was going on and I was told that, that particular branch had been closed and that all laybyes were taken to Clothing Junction Watergate mall. I was perplexed as to how as customers no one bothered to call or send a message to alert me. Fast forward.... I got to Clothing Junction Watergate and I find out that my laybye had been taken our and put back on the stores stock. How come? OK nonetheless can I have my money back then? The response I got was that no we need to first send your receipt to Johannesburg and you need to provide your bank information, so I did that. Five months later I'm still waiting for my money back.
