Rude, unfriendly and unprofessional salesman

I contacted Clive to find a house in Blairgowrie as I'm relocating from the Northern Cape to Johannesburg. We experienced him as rude, condescending and unwelcoming.

For example, I had downloaded property valuations onto my phone to compare with houses upon visiting, and when I took my phone out to check the property's valuation, I was "scolded" at. "How can I sell you a house if you're on your phone?!". He also commented on how young we looked (which I suppose is usually a compliment, but it led to him not taking us seriously in this instance). Whenever I asked a question, he would ask me if I've "checked in with my husband first". Basically treated me as if I were the wife looking for a house to spend my husband's money on. Meanwhile, I'm the one taking out a bond.

The last straw was when a house I was interested in was being shown on a Friday from 4pm to 6pm. We had made the 7 hour drive to Joburg the previous weekend, but were seriously interested in buying one of two final houses. So for the second weekend in a row, we made the long journey. I only managed to get away from work at 12pm on Friday, and my mom (who stays in Joburg) visited the property on show for me. She called me to say that it's beautiful and a really good investment. She then asked Clive if I could please quickly see the house at 7pm when I arrive. He was adamant that he did not have time to show me the house, and was busy all weekend. The only space he has open is "Sunday at 6pm". He said this knowing that I need to drive back to the Northern Cape on Sunday. He was not even willing to call the owners to see if they would mind me quickly seeing the house while he wasn't there.

I ended up not seeing that house and have purchased the other one that I had driven up to see that weekend. Clive's poor demeanour and arrogance led to him losing a sale and, more sadly, the owners of that house losing a potential buyer.
